I want to share my fitness journey and how Sean Hyde helped me achieve my goals through his personal training. Before working with Sean , I was insecure about my body. I never really worked out before in my life and at the time I had no real muscle mass or strength. I always dreaded going to the pool and having to take off my shirt. I met Sean and started working with him in the fall.

Sean is so easy going and understanding to work with. He designs a work out program that’s catered To your fitness goals and your fitness level. I think his best attribute is his knowledge of the equipment (he’s a master of the gym) and the human body. He will always keep the workouts new and come up with new ways to get the most out of your body and at the same time explain why we are doing the exercise and the muscle groups we are going to focus on.

I was able to see tremendous progress within the first few weeks and that’s accredit to Sean Hyde and the type of valuable training he offers to his clients.

So if you’re looking for a trainer who’s personable, highly knowledgeable, attention to detail and will kick your hiney every workout, then Sean Hyde is the trainer for you!

I began to really focus on my physical fitness when I started college. My goal was similar to most guys that are in college and work out, to put on size and to get strong. So I would go to the gym and workout four to five days a week, but after several months I really wasn't seeing any results. I was on the verge of giving up, as not seeing any progress after all the time and effort I was putting was frustrating and I feared that working out really wasn't for me.

While back at home between semesters, I saw Sean at the gym and inquired about his workout routine. He was very friendly and began to help me by educating me  with my workout plan and proper diet.

When I joined the military and was training for a career in Special Operations, I again turned to Sean for help with the strenuous training involved. He gave me guidance with preparation as well as tips for recovery and a meal plan.

I'm in regular contact with Sean and no matter what my current goal or course I'm training for, I can depend on him to give me the tools I need to succeed.

I am so proud of Juan Arango!! Juan came to Hyde No More in March of 2013 at 330 lbs with the goal of losing enough weight so that he could join the Army. In just 1 year he managed to lose a total of 104 pounds weighing 226 lbs! I can not begin to explain how proud I am of him! Juan, you are truly an inspiration! Congratulations again!

My son Brandon has special needs, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be pushed and encouraged. Besides the obvious health benefits, fitness and exercise can go a long way towards helping people emotionally as well. When I asked Sean to train my son, he didn’t hesitate, but instead he truly looked forward to it. He knew there might be some different challenges along the way, but he embraced it.

Brandon and Sean immediately hit it off. Sean put the extra effort into assembling a special training program, knowing the physical challenges Brandon faced. And because Sean doesn’t look at training as a job, and doesn’t think of the people he works with as just “clients”, he was able to form a special relationship with Brandon that means a lot to both of them. That doesn’t mean Sean doesn’t expect to see results. He continued to push Brandon to improve and to excel, in spite of his limitations, because he treated Brandon as a person. In short, Sean cared. I know that along the way, Sean put extra time and research into work with Brandon more effectively. As a result, Brandon continues to live a healthy lifestyle and thinks of Sean as more than a trainer. He’s become a true friend. In fact, we think of Sean like family.

When I first saw Sean at my gym, training himself and others, I knew he was the right personal trainer for both my son and myself. First, there’s his own attention to health and fitness for himself and his own positive lifestyle. His personal work ethic alone is enough to encourage anyone. However, his personal training, while impressive, isn’t only based on his own experience. He’s an educated trainer who is always looking to get better, to know more, looking to learn and grow mentally as well as physically. I’ve found that to be very motivating in many areas of my own life.

Second, he puts that same passion and effort into helping others achieve (and discover) their own health and fitness goals. When I work out with Sean, I know that he truly cares. He wants to see me become the best I can be, and he knows just how to get that out of me and the other clients he works with.

Third, although Sean will push you to go further than you even thought you could, he does so in a way that’s not intimidating. When I’ve had sessions with Sean, I knew that it was going to be tough (but never too tough - Sean is smart about people’s limitations). But I always looked forward to it because he makes it enjoyable. He knows how to encourage you, he knows when he needs to make you laugh, and when he needs to get tough and push you a little further than you could on your own.

Finally, when you achieve a milestone, reach a personal goal, or have done something you couldn’t do before, no one will be more genuinely happy for you than Sean will. I’ve seen him make a positive difference in so many people’s lives doing what God put him here to do: help people focus on their health and fitness and become better all-around people. Sean has become someone I know I can depend on for anything, and I love him like he’s a member of my family.

In my two years training with Sean, I was able to achieve my two primary goals: gain muscle strength and learn proper weightlifting techniques. Sean was able to motivate me throughout and would change my workout every few weeks to provide variety and shock to my muscles. I would strongly recommend his personal training program for anyone serious about improving their strength or cardio training.

Coaching alongside Sean Hyde at Parisi Speed School for three years was truly a great experience! Not only did I learn a great amount from Sean while we pushed to motivate and positively impact the youth athletes we were training, but Sean also made me strive to become a better coach. He is an amazing role model, positive source of inspiration and all-around exceptional human being to those around him. His knowledge of all aspects of training is truly impressive and whether you are a teenager trying to get better at your sport, or a working mother/father just trying to stay fit, Sean will find a way to help you set and achieve the goals you want to reach!

About five years ago, I was looking for a personal trainer to help me lose weight and tone up my body to get ready for the beach! Fortunately, Sean was one of my closest friends in college. Upon graduating from college together, I was immediately inspired by his passion and thus chose to work with him as my personal trainer. I enjoyed his overall approach, he was strict, but at the same time conscious of my concerns; he pushed me, but not over the edge, which was exactly what I needed.

His positive attitude was infectious and I found myself growing more and more interested in my diet as well as the route of why I chose my personal unhealthy habits. In my efforts to become more disciplined in my weight loss and body toning, Sean taught me what most trainers do not. He taught me the importance of understanding what my body needed in order to be successful just as any professional might do with their job or athlete might continue to do when training for their next big game.

Over the past years, I trained with Sean two to three times a week and have never felt better! He always inspired me to stay fit and remain healthy, all the while, enjoying good food and the occasional cocktail or two.  If not for Sean, I would not have become as content with my overall self as I am now. He provided me with the tools I needed to reach my goal as well as to achieve the beach body I had set out for myself since day one. If there were any trainer in the world I would recommend, it would be him, because of his passion, knowledge, and overall dedication to his craft. Thanks Sean!

Jenny Ulsheimer

Long Island, NY

My name is Jenny “Sunshine” Ulsheimer. I am a pretty happy person with a really great life, but turning 40 was making me sad on the inside.   I knew I had to do something for myself, to prove that it was just a number and not a definition.  I work in a very physical field so I have always been is decent shape, I just never felt really great about my body.  So in January of 2013, (my birthday is in September) I joined a gym determined to get “Fabulous by 40!” that was my mantra.  I had an appointment to meet with a trainer but our schedules did not work out so she suggested I work out with a young trainer named Sean Hyde.  I gave him a call and we hit it off right away.  When I met Sean I knew that he was the perfect trainer for me, and he had a great smile too.

So we set up a plan and my goal was to run 5 races for my 40th year (FYI, I don’t really like running) Three 5K’s, one 10K and a four mile race in my hometown.  I have to tell you it was a lot of work, holy cow did Sean whip me into shape.  The first time I ran for him I was running at 5 or 5.5 mph, by the time I ran my last race I was at 6.8 mph.  I couldn’t believe I was running that fast. Sean actually ran one of the 5K races with me.  We both ran our best times that day. Sean’s support and encouragement really helped me to push myself in every race.

Well, I am turning 42 this year and Sean is still my trainer and we are working on my next milestone “Fantastic at 50”. I still run one or two races a year but I have Sean focusing more on weight training and keeping me strong (osteoporosis is very prevalent in my family). Each week Sean has a new plan for me and as much as it hurts I love every second of the workout.  He has definitely created a monster, because even when I workout alone I go home sore and sweaty. My goal this year was to ride in a 25 mile bike fundraiser which I finished and could have gone even more miles.  Sean and I are currently working on an 8-minute plank and a wide grip pull-up.

I am a very goal oriented person but even someone like me needs a kick in the booty. Sean Hyde will get you where you would like to be, just believe in yourself because if I have stopped hiding my booty under big shirts than you can too.

Thank you Sean!!!
